The Justice Fund
Empowering Survivors. Strengthening Communities.
The Delores and Emily Justice Fund stands as a vibrant testament to two extraordinary women who grace my family's history: my maternal grandmother, Delores, and my cherished late paternal grandmother, Emily.
These were women forged in the crucible of life's challenges, yet their strength, unwavering resilience, and quiet power have sculpted the very essence of who I am today.

This fund is more than just an initiative; it's a living echo of their legacies, a way to honor the profound lessons they etched upon my heart – lessons of perseverance that weathered any storm, grace that illuminated the darkest corners, and the profound impact of showing up for others with purpose and intention.

Through the Justice Fund, we aspire to extend a hand to individuals within underserved communities who find themselves navigating the often-daunting complexities of the legal system with scant resources. Whether by easing the burden of legal fees, offering the invaluable gift of pro bono services, or fostering vital community outreach and education, the fund's unwavering mission is to dismantle barriers to justice and offer unwavering support where it is most desperately needed.

Delores and Emily’s journeys continue to inspire the heart of this work — and through this fund, their impact lives on.
How It Works
Step 1. We contribute funds
Each year, contributors—including individuals, professionals, and community members—pledge a fixed amount or percentage of their income or donations to support the fund’s mission.
Step 2. A Review Committee evaluates proposals
Community members and partner organizations can submit proposals on behalf of individuals or initiatives. The committee carefully evaluates each request to ensure the resources are distributed thoughtfully and effectively.
Step 3. Funds are distributed directly to those in need
Approved funding may be used for emergency shelter, relocation expenses, mental health services, childcare, job training, or other needs that empower survivors toward long-term stability.
Support Criteria
To ensure meaningful and ethical impact, all Justice Fund support must:
• Directly benefit women who are survivors of domestic violence
• Provide immediate and/or long-term assistance to foster independence, safety, and
healing
• Go toward needs-based, non-discriminatory community enrichment

Our Impact

Whether helping a mother secure stable housing, supporting a survivor’s journey to return to school, or funding therapy and childcare so healing can begin—the Justice Fund stands in the gap.

We believe that when survivors are given the tools to rebuild, entire communities grow stronger.
